Women Inspiring Women (WIW) is one of our many Business Partnering Groups (BPGs) at MTM.
WIW helps plan executive festivals, donation drives, and volunteer opportunities for its members alongside our other BPG partners. Most recently, they were involved in both the Witches Ride in support of the Athens-Limestone Hospital Foundation and the Liz Hurley Ribbon Run in support of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
WIW provides a place for all team members to find common ground, express themselves, support each other, and get involved at MTM and in our community.
WIW Mission
Through innovation and collaboration, MTM’s Women’s BPG will relate to our team members, motivate them to excel at MTM, and give back to our community through strategic, intentional action while inspiring the next generation of MTM women.
WIW Vision
Our vision is to create an inclusive workplace where women thrive, contribute their unique perspectives, and achieve their full potential. We are committed to fostering an environment that values diversity, promotes equity, and ensures equal opportunities for all.
Mazda Toyota Manufacturing launched their MTM Grant Fund in 2022, with the goal of engaging nonprofit organizations in Madison, Morgan and Limestone counties to help further their missions.
MTM focuses on three areas with their Social Innovation Strategy: Economic Impact, Education, and Quality of Life. After launching with awards in June of 2022, MTM held another cycle in Spring of 2023. However, starting that year, the MTM Grant Fund became biannual with a Spring and Fall Grant fund cycle. Each spring, awards are announced in June – and each fall, awards are announced on Giving Tuesday! A committee of MTM team members reads and votes on each grant submission, before inviting finalists to a live “pitch” to talk about their organization and their programs. It has become an amazing way for our team to connect with the organizations who do so much to support and sustain our community.
Athens Limestone Hospital Foundation
Crisis Services of North Alabama
The Care Center
MTM has provided support to over 150 nonprofit organizations through their Grant Fund and through other corporate giving: since 2018, they have provided over $1.5 million in funding to our community.
These organizations include hospital foundations, local school systems, STEM programs, career and technical schools, providers of basic needs like food banks and shelters for the unhoused, and many more causes that make North Alabama a safe, healthy, growing community.
Not only does MTM give through their grant fund and corporate sponsorship, but they engage team members with backpack drives for school supplies, food drives, and toy drives around the holidays. Their Business Partnering Groups, LEAD Academy Program participants, and environmental team lead volunteer projects – including trail clean-ups, restoration projects, and more.

Mazda Toyota Manufacturing is honored to be featured in an episode of Military Makeover: Operation Career®.
This special edition of the show is dedicated to aiding military veterans as they transition into civilian careers. Our segment highlights our veteran team members Amy, Ken, and William and how MTM continues to offer career opportunities and resources to veterans. We are proud to be part of a program that not only recognizes the sacrifices of our servicemen and women but also actively supports their successful reintegration into civilian life.
